Congratuations to Bill Hickman - Bellevue, Northwest Sound on being the 2019 Barbershopper of the Year!

Our newest recipient has a storied and wonderful in and out of barbershop career. He is the son of a musician raised in Sparks, Nevada.  After he left school after studying music he began a 30 year career in the US Navy. He joined the Fairfax Jubilaires in 1981, and never looked back. He sang in 6 different districts, with 8 choruses - from Rhode Island to the Masters of Harmony. He served as Program VP, section leader (bass of course), show chair, assistant director, choreographer, visual teams and several boards. He is currently Northwest Sound chapter president, Certified Leadership instructor at the Society level, HCNW faculty, and senior Quartet champ. You can call him Skipper (full captain!), Sir, Bill, Prez., or a great friend and leader!! Welcome Bill Hickman to the cadre of Evergreen District Barbershopper of the Year! Congrats.
